God = Love

Today is Valentine's Day!  A day of love.  Webster's dictionary says that love is "strong affection for another arising out of kinship or personal ties; affection and tenderness felt by lovers; a person's adoration of God and unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another."

How do you define love?  Love to me is God's love.

Some verses that come to mind are:

"A new command I give you; Love one another.  As I have loved you, so you must love one another."  John 13:34

"By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."  John 13:35

"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this:  While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."  Romans 5:8

"We love because he first loved us."  1 John 4:19

Jesus is what unconditional love is all about.
