Tribute to My Mom

A well-known Christian musician, Andrae Crouch sings a very powerful song "My Tribute".

The lyrics say:
"How can I say thanks for the things You have done for me?  Things so undeserved, yet You gave to prove Your love for me; the voices of a million angels could not express my gratitude.  All that I am and ever hope to be, I owe it all to Thee.  To God be the glory...."

Andrae wrote these words expressing how thankful he was for God and all that He had given him.  It is hard to explain God's love towards us.  He loves us no matter what.  God doesn't ask for anything in exchange for His love.  In the book of Isaiah, God is called "Wonderful Counselor"; "Mighty God"; Everlasting Father"; "Prince of Peace" and "Almighty".

A mother's love is also so much like the love that God gives to us. Mothers are also our counselors, healers and gives us the peace that we need to handle each day.

We don't physically see God, but God provides us our mothers to understand the love of God.  Mothers love their children through all circumstances.  That is exactly how God loves us.  He loves us, no matter what.

There are so many mothers that have given their life so that their child(ren) could thrive.  So many mothers that did not give up on their children, when society told them that their child was lost due to drugs, alcohols or other situations.

I also wonder how can I say thank you to my own mother who has always believed in me and never gave up on me. She has encouraged me to do my best and to be the best.  She has allowed me to fall and to learn from my circumstances.  She is my cheerleader.  She is always encouraging me to grow.

As I read through the Mother's Day cards, it is always hard to find that "right one".  So mom, here are the words that I want to express to you.  Thank you for being you and for the encouragement and direction that you gave and give me.  Thank you for your wisdom, for your insight and for teaching me about values and faith.  I am thankful that I can celebrate another year with you.  Thanks for always being there!

No mom is the same.  They each have their own way to inspire and to influence their children.  We already know that none of us have the same DNA.  We are each made different.  A mom makes her own imprint upon her children.

Mom, your inner and outer beauty is what makes you one of a kind.  You are definitely a lady of class!  Happy Mother's Day!
