Love means so many things to so many people. Love can be a noun or a verb. As a noun, love is "an intense feeling of deep affection". As a verb, love is "feeling a deep romantic or sexual attachment fo someone".
Love is knowing that no matter what you do, there is someone there for you. It is called "unconditional love". It is an affection without any limitations or conditions.
Spiritually, there is something about God's love. His love is unconditional. The verse that always comes to mind about God's love is John 3:16, "For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him many not die, but have eternal life." Feel His presence as you quote this verse. His love is omnipotent!
As you look at love, you can look at it in so many ways "mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually".
All I know is that love is powerful and everyone is looking for it. Why are there so many songs written about love? The one song that we all remember is "I Will Always Love You".
Everyone remembers Whitney Houston singing this song in "The Bodyguard" in 1992. "The Bodyguard" was about a music star, who was played by Whitney, and she needed to be protected from an unknown stalker. Kevin Costner stars as the former Secret Service agent turned bodyguard to protect her. To find out more about this movie, you need to watch it. I bet you didn't know that in the mid-1970s this film was written for Steve McQueen and Diana Ross. It was never produced. A lot of people think that "I Will Always Love You" was written for this movie. Dolly Parton wrote this song in 1973 as a farewell to her former partner, Porter Wagoner. This song has been sung by many well known artists and continues to be on the charts.
One can write pages about love. I am fortunate that I experience love everyday. I live in the "land of love", Loveland, Colorado. Loveland is called the "Sweetheart City". A city that captures the true feeling of love by marrying couples or renewing a couple's vows on Valentine's Day. The city also has two love lock sculptures throughout Loveland. The love locks are a symbol of love and commitment, where lovers lock a padlock on a chain or gate and then throw away the key. This is symbolic of locking their love forever. There is also the "Loveland Annual Hearts Program" that lines the streets with hundreds of wooden hearts during the month of February.
There are so many other events throughout Loveland during the month of February, but my favorite is the "Loveland Valentine Remailing Program". There are more than sixty volunteers that personally stamp by hand the envelope with the design and verse on each piece of mail. The 2020 collector's envelope artwork was designed by Corry McDowell with the verse written by Teresa Boynton "Dan Cupid continues to play his part. Though he doesn't text or tweet, he knows a Loveland Valentine is a sweeter treater".
One can go on and on about love. My thoughts and prayers are that you will experience the love that will bring the peace, happiness and joy that you are looking for. During this month of February take the time to express the words of love to the people around you. You will never know how much that will mean to someone.
I will end this by saying "I Will Always Love You"!

My husband doesn't give me anything for Valentine's Day says he doesn't need a special day to let me know he loves me. I would like a card at least but he isn't going to change.
